Ch-ch-check it…”My Parents Were Awesome”

“Before the fanny packs and Andrea Bocelli concerts, your parents (and grandparents) were once free-wheeling, fashion-forward, and super awesome” Eliot Glazer.
Ever run across an old picture of your parents and barely recognized them? They’re unbelievably hip and cool – your dad with his thick 70’s stache and aviators looks like a completely different person from the balding one walking around the house in bright leisure pants and patterned sweater-vest. I found my dad’s old high school yearbook last week and couldn’t believe the young stud (I admit it) that was pictured beside my dads name.
Shocking stories like this have inspired blogger Eliot Glazer to create the website “My Parents Were Awesome”, an interactive page where people are encouraged to post old pictures of their parents when they were “super-awesome”. Each picture tells its own story and gives a sense of nostalgia as you’re taken back to a different decade.

Be sure to check out the page and all the ridiculously cool moms and dads, myparentswereawesome….you may even feel compelled to post a picture of your old man, I know I am.
