Green represents a revolution!

2009 has been a crazy year full of change and movement which you can see here! But one story stood out for me (Not that this one is more important than any other) but one that is very visual and has relied heavily on new forms of media and clothing. This is the green revolution thats taking place in Iran as we speak. When I think of green; I usually think of green peace and Ireland but now I think of the growing movement in Iran. Throughout human history people have come together because they have a common cause, which is then unified visually under a select colour, banner or logo. This time people in Iran have chosen the colour green, to unify and let the government know that they are outraged with the result of the 2009 presidential election. They wear green bandannas, T-shirts, scarfs, hats and flags you name it they will wear it in green. However much the authorities try to stop the movement, it continues to grow seeking other means of media like facebook, twitter and even U2 concerts to let the world know what truly is happening in Iran.

I really like this topic…I’m thinking about adding my opinion but I want to hear some more from others first
